Yesterday afternoon we drove out to Bridgehampton to celebrate Donna's 70th birthday. (Donna's family had rented a lovely home high on a hill in the woods for the occasion). It was a spectacularly beautiful -- and rare -- spring day with a glorious sun and the temperature hovering around 60. There was the usual array of family and friends in attendance. The food was prepared by various family members with recipes from Gobby's cookbook. It was such fun to hear everyone exclaim, "Oh, look! Gobby's doughnuts (etc.)!" There was a wonderful video tribute to Donna which managed to cause several tears among the crowd and lots of laughter over recalled memories. It was a wonderful day filled with love for a wonderful woman. We love you, Donna!
Being the really bad party photographer that I am, I have no pictures of the actual party. I do, however, have several shots of the little guys enjoying themselves in the giant fenced in playpen on the tennis court. That was a great place for a bunch of busy kids to play! Who needs tennis?
Jonah refuels before heading out to play.
Miss Rachael in her spring attire.
Caleb takes a minute to catch his breath. But only a minute!
Wish I could hear what they're saying...

Caleb loved playing in the leaves.

I wonder what these 2 two year olds are planning...
These leaves are really fun, but what's going on over there?
Kathy and Sherry enjoy a little chat while Olivia dreams of being big enough to join the other kids outside. Soon, little lady, soon.
