Easter Egg Hunt

On the Saturday before Easter, Lisha invited a few little ones over to her house for brunch and an Easter Egg hunt. It was a rainy, windy day and a few weren't able to attend, but the rest of us had a great time! It was fun visiting with each other and watching the kids get into the whole "looking for eggs" thing. Thanks, Lisha for having us over!

Another year, another baby shower ;)

Last Saturday we got together at Sean and Lisha's house for a baby shower! It was a great time with friends, family and food -- our three party essentials! Everyone enjoyed the lunch buffet and it was great fun watching all the little kids play. And, we all got to see the preparations Lisha and Sean have made for the (home)birth. Very exciting stuff! The best part was celebrating the greatly anticipated arrival of Lisha and Sean's second son in just a few weeks. We can't wait to meet the precious little guy!

For Sean's birthday we went to Dave and Buster's. We had way too much food and everyone had a lot of fun playing in the game arcade. I took a bunch of pictures and even after weeding through them, there are too many to post here. Soooo, check them out here.

Cookies for Santa

After we finished opening gifts and taking our stellar group photos, Sean had to leave for work, Lisha took Reed home for a nap and Jenn and Joshua went home for a little while also. Heath and Caleb stayed and, after a bit, decided they should make some cookies to leave out for Santa (with the extras going to Tom and Sherry's Christmas Eve party later on). Luckily, I was prepared with sprinkles, colored sugar and slice and bake cookie dough! Caleb had quite a fun time (I think he may be a chef some day. He loves to help out in the kitchen. Either that or a dancer. Or a gymnast. But, I digress...) and the cookies were very yummy. I know Santa loved them!

Caleb celebrated his third birthday with a fun party at Sean and Lisha's house. Both sides of his family were well represented and all had a great time. It was a cold, windy day, but some of us even ventured down to the beach. However, it was a brief stay because, well, there is nothing too much colder than a wintry, windy day at the beach! We enjoyed some delicious lunch (Thank you to all the great cooks in the family for your contributions!) and then dove into a yummy ice cream cake. All the kids LOVE ice cream cake! Presents were opened accompanied by the usual "present-opening chaos". Caleb received so many great gifts, but I think his favorite part was celebrating with his family. He had a wonderful time! Happy Birthday, Caleb!

I love that Caleb had no problem sitting at the table with all these adults that he doesn't really know to enjoy some of Lisha's stromboli with them.

There were 4 little boys at the party -- Joshua and these three. Reed, Caleb and Aidan (the son of Sean and Lisha's friend, Jen) were all about the same age and got along so well together.

Caleb announced that he needed a tiny nap. Believe me, it was tiny alright.

A few of us wandered up to the beach to watch the sun go down and were treated to this spectacular sight. Truly one of the most amazing sunsets I've seen. A perfect way to end our wonderful day of giving thanks!

I don't know about you...

but looking cute while I eat hasn't happened to me yet. But, these two little guys seem to have the knack. I wonder if they give lessons...

Cupsogue 062808

After we finished our "family photo shoot", everyone decided it was time to eat, so we headed over to Cupsogue Beach down by the inlet where they have a place to dine and also, in the evenings, a live band. It was a pleasant way to feed and entertain everyone all at once. After we ate and listened to the music for awhile, we wandered down to the beach where the kids burned off some energy (where do they get that stuff??) and the "older" family members enjoyed the cool breeze and the sights and sounds of the beautiful ocean we are so lucky to have practically in our backyard. Here are a few shots from Cupsogue with lots more to be seen here.
