More Sesame Place. Will it never end?

I present you with a few more shots from our fun adventure at Sesame Place last month. Enjoy them, because I am losing hope of getting to all of them and am ready to quit and move on to other things -- such as pictures from Reed's birthday party which was exactly one month ago! You see my problem.

Cupsogue 062808

After we finished our "family photo shoot", everyone decided it was time to eat, so we headed over to Cupsogue Beach down by the inlet where they have a place to dine and also, in the evenings, a live band. It was a pleasant way to feed and entertain everyone all at once. After we ate and listened to the music for awhile, we wandered down to the beach where the kids burned off some energy (where do they get that stuff??) and the "older" family members enjoyed the cool breeze and the sights and sounds of the beautiful ocean we are so lucky to have practically in our backyard. Here are a few shots from Cupsogue with lots more to be seen here. The family's "dancing" gene (who knew?) strikes again!

Admittedly, the music will get to you pretty quickly, but it's still cute, cute, cute... (in my totally unbiased opinion!)

Busy weekend, day 2, part B

After the church service, we headed back home to change into something more casual and pick up a couple of dishes of food for the reception.  The reception was at the Air National Guard Base in Westhampton at the Officer's Club. (We all had to stop at the  gate, give our name to be checked against the "official" list and show ID, then zig-zag around the road blocking barriers to get to the club. Cool, huh?) The reception was very nice with plenty of food and music. The kids had a great time playing with the jukebox and dancing all around the room.

The bigger, "cooler" kids preferred sitting at the bar, watching the game on TV.

It was lots of fun visiting with everyone -- between trips to the buffet table! ;)

In addition to the delicious food, the fun music and the socializing, there was also a video montage of the guest of honor (who was sound asleep through most of the party and only made his appearance as the montage was ending. Talk about making an entrance! Perfect timing.) If you would like to kill a few minutes watching the montage, it's here.

Sean and Lisha had a great time showing off their little guy and posing for a few pictures. Can't let those coordinating outfits go unnoticed! (You can't see it in these pictures, but Lisha was wearing a yellow and white sundress ;))

After the party was over and the tables cleared away, Reed was able to spend some quality time with his walker zooming around the big empty room. He can get going pretty fast!

All in all, a great ending to a fun -- and very full -- weekend!

Just came across this on another blog (Ali's blog) this morning. It takes a little time to read the article and watch the video, but it's worth it. Makes you think...

Pearls Before Breakfast

It wouldn't be Christmas without this

I used to drive my kids crazy at Christmas by playing this Bing Crosby album all the time  -- singing along with it and dancing around the kitchen while I made them breakfast (always a hot one, by the way!). So I figured what more modern thing to do than to drive them crazy in cyberspace too! Ha!

I will change the music periodically so they can relive each and every song. I know, kids, I know. I'm the best!
