Tia has a shower!

On Sunday afternoon we got together to celebrate Tia and her soon-to-be-arriving baby. We had a lovely afternoon with the usual delicious food and wonderful friends and family to share it with. Now, all that's left to do is wait for little Master Elliott to make his debut...

Party Central Kids Impromptu Wrestling Federation!

Here are a few shots -- blurry and out of focus because, well, this is ACTION! My poor camera and I could barely keep up. I actually feel lucky to have survived unscathed! ;) Like Sherry says, it's like a basket of puppies when these kids get together. And, the crazy thing is that this isn't even half the kids that were there!

Joshua's Dedication, continued...

After the dedication ceremony, the festivities began. There was, as always, lots of yummy food, much good conversation and lots of entertainment provided by all the kids in attendance. Actually, some of our time was spent not getting plowed over by all the kids as they seemed to have great fun running around and around and suddenly engaging in impromptu wrestling matches in the middle of the floor (those pictures to follow soon). A little surprise and a lot of fun

 

On Thursday evening we got together for a "Girls' Night Out" baby shower for Jenn. We all converged on our tried and true location -- Party Central -- and soon Heath and Caleb arrived with the two ;) guests of honor. It was a great time with lots of laughter and fun. We enjoyed delicious food (Sherry made a yummy chicken salad and her famous punch, Joyce brought my favorite cucumber sandwiches, Lissa made two amazing quiches, Ginny brought her unequalled zucchini bread (a special request by Heath), Donna made one of her dazzling salads, and Janice (Jenn's mom) brought the cutest cake you've ever seen -- an umbrella made of cupcakes with an adorable little baby sleeping underneath. I filled in with a fruit plate and some roasted veggies and we were all set!). Jenn opened many wonderful gifts -- both for her and the baby! Several of us spent a bit of time decorating onesies with fabric paint and coming up with some very original designs. Later in the evening, Heath and Sean came by along with Caleb and Reed. It was a great time and now we are all just in "hurry up and wait" mode. We can't wait to meet baby Joshua!

The Weekend: Part Three

(I apologize for being so pokey in posting about "the rest of the weekend".  I have been very busy this past week honing my laziness skills.)

On Sunday we all got together at Party Central to bid a fond farewell to Emma and Jonah. (They returned to their "other" home on Tuesday.) We had a wonderful time (well, except for watching the Mets lose!) just hanging around, eating and being entertained by the youngest generation. Just to give you an idea of the bedlam that can ensue when we all get together, there were 5 (!) children under the age of 22 months! And that doesn't even take into account the other 7 older ones who are all 13 and under. (Not to mention several adults who can be mistaken for children at any given moment!)  We also had the joy of having Sherry's sister, Doris, here for a visit. (She returned to sunny Florida on Wednesday -- probably needing a vacation after her vacation!)  Here's a glimpse of some of the chaos fun...
